The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber) and the Duke Energy Foundation joined forces to support small businesses recovering from this summer’s flooding and severe weather. Through a $100,000 grant from the Duke Energy Foundation to the NKY Chamber of Commerce Foundation, relief funding is being provided to 26 small businesses across Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy and vital to the communities we serve,” said Amy Spiller, president of Duke Energy Ohio & Kentucky. “Following this summer’s natural disasters, the Duke Energy Foundation is proud to help local businesses recover, rebuild and move forward. Through our partnership with the NKY Chamber, we’re putting resources directly into the hands of business owners so they can reopen, retain employees and continue serving our communities.”
The NKY Small Business Relief Grants were awarded in varying amounts, ranging from $2,500 to $10,000, to small businesses with 50 or fewer employees that are Duke Energy small business customers in Boone, Campbell or Kenton counties.
