The Kentucky Recreation and Parks Society (KRPS) will host its annual District 5 fundraiser on Saturday, September 26th. As stated on the official website, KRPS was organized in 1953 as a non-profit professional association for Kentucky’s parks and recreation professionals. The Society is an affiliate member of the National Recreation and Park Association, headquartered in Ashburn, VA. KRPS offers a variety of workshops and networking opportunities for government professionals with an emphasis on parks, sports and recreation, aquatics, playgrounds, leadership, sports fields, and parks maintenance.”

The Cornhole Classic serves as a fundraiser to support KRPS’s efforts in District 5, which includes Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Henry, Kenton, Owen, Pendleton, Robertson, and Trimble counties. This year, representatives from Kenton County, the City of Independence, the City of Erlanger, and the City of Edgewood will serve as the event committee, displaying the collaborative nature of the organization.

The event will take place at the new Downs of Nicholson venue on Saturday, September 26, from 10 AM to 4 PM. Spaces are available for teams of two to sign up with an entry fee of $50. Local businesses are also invited to support the event by sponsoring a lane or serving as a community sponsor. All interested parties can visit the link below to learn more about the event:
