# Northern Kentucky Author Wayne Stewart Revisits *Nanonaut* as Story Expands from Novel to Comics
**NORTHERN KENTUCKY —** Independent Kentucky author Wayne Stewart is bringing renewed attention to his science-fiction catalog, including *Nanonaut*, a prose novel whose storyline was later adapted into a three-issue comic-book run.
Rather than leaving an older title behind as new projects emerged, Stewart has continued developing ways for readers to encounter the *Nanonaut* story in different formats. The original prose novel provides the story that became the basis for *Nanonaut Comic Issues #1, #2 and #3*.
The project is part of Stewart’s broader effort to revive and introduce his back catalog to new readers. His published works span science fiction and other areas of adult fiction, reflecting experiences and ideas accumulated over years of writing.
Stewart’s connection to Kentucky is also part of that story. Born in Monticello, Kentucky, he now lives in Northern Kentucky, placing his independent publishing work within the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky creative community.
