LUDLOW, KY. — Infinite Hills Productions, a Greater Cincinnati nonprofit focused on music and tourism, has received an ArtsWave Northern Kentucky Creative Placemaking Grant to produce a series of free community music events in Ludlow, Kentucky.
The Ludlow Rail Sessions will take place during fall 2026 and spring 2027 beneath the Ludlow Train Viewing Platform, located alongside the railway near the eastern entrance to the city.
The events will feature local and regional musical acts, food trucks, artists and vendors, along with participation from Ludlow businesses and community organizations. Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Each event will partner with a local organization offering family-friendly activities.
“We want to introduce more people to Ludlow and show them the incredible community that exists here,” said Infinite Hills Productions founder Nathan Thompson. “Ludlow is home to many musicians, artists and other creatives, as well as remarkable local businesses that visitors may not know about. We want to showcase those assets and help position Ludlow as a community worth visiting.”
The location of the series also connects the events to the Ludlow Heritage Museum’s planned renovation of the historic railroad storehouse. “The railway is an integral part of Ludlow’s history, and the Heritage Museum is creating an incredible community space that will help preserve and celebrate that history,” Thompson said. “We hope the Ludlow Rail Sessions will bring additional attention to that important work.”
The series kickoff will be on Saturday, Aug. 22, with live music from 2 to 5 p.m. The Ludlow Heritage Museum will also present a new farmers market adjacent to the event from noon to 5 p.m.
