Hello,
My name is Lavar Herron, and I am the founder and head coach of NKY Elite Track Club, a youth track and field program serving athletes from across Northern Kentucky.
I wanted to reach out because I believe our team has a story that would resonate with your audience. In just our third season, NKY Elite has grown into a program that provides young athletes with opportunities to compete, build confidence, and develop leadership both on and off the track.
This summer, 23 of our athletes qualified for the 2026 AAU Junior Olympics after competing against some of the best athletes in the region. These athletes represent multiple schools and communities throughout Northern Kentucky, coming together with one goal—to proudly represent our region on the national stage.
While qualifying is an incredible accomplishment, it also comes with significant financial challenges. The cost of travel, lodging, meals, entry fees, uniforms, and equipment can be overwhelming for many of our families. We never want finances to prevent a child from experiencing an opportunity they have worked so hard to earn.
Our hope is that by sharing our story, we can not only celebrate these remarkable young athletes but also bring awareness to the challenges many youth sports families face. We are currently seeking community partners, local business sponsors, and individual donors who would like to invest in these athletes and help make their Junior Olympic dreams possible.
As a U.S. Marine veteran, educator, and coach, I founded NKY Elite with the mission of creating opportunities for young people while teaching discipline, accountability, perseverance, and teamwork. Watching these athletes earn the opportunity to compete at the Junior Olympics has been incredibly rewarding, and we would love the chance to share their journey with the community.
If members of the community would like to support our athletes, donations can be made through our Venmo at @NKYUETC. Every contribution, regardless of the amount, goes directly toward helping our athletes with the costs associated with competing at the AAU Junior Olympics.
Businesses interested in sponsorship opportunities are encouraged to contact me directly. We offer several sponsorship levels and would be honored to recognize our community partners as they help make this opportunity possible for our athletes.
We would be honored to arrange interviews with our athletes, parents, and coaches, provide photos and videos, or invite your team to one of our practices before we depart for the AAU Junior Olympics.
Thank you for your time and consideration. We appreciate your support of youth athletics and hope you’ll consider sharing the story of these outstanding young athletes representing Northern Kentucky.
Respectfully,
Lavar Herron
