Cincinnati-style chili will soon have a new home in Northern Kentucky following the groundbreaking of Gold Star’s newest location in Cold Spring.
Construction is officially underway at Cold Star Cold Spring (3801 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076) following the location’s groundbreaking event on Wednesday, June 3. Gold Star President and CEO Roger David, Cold Spring Mayor D. Angleo Penque as well as other local officials were present for the occasion to celebrate breaking ground on the new location. They were joined by representatives from construction partner Fedders Construction for a unique ceremonial groundbreaking. To officially mark the site of the new location, the group took part in a special Spice Packet Dedication, scattering Gold Star’s signature blend onto the foundation of the future building.
Set to feature the brand’s new restaurant design bringing together the Cincinnati chili parlor experience in a comfortable environment with contemporary style, Gold Star Cold Spring will seat over 60 guests. The location will feature an expanded menu featuring Gold Star’s famous small-batch, secret family chili recipe, as well as delicious grilled-to-order burgers, double decker sandwiches, loaded fries, hand-tossed salads and more.
In addition, Gold Star Cold Spring will offer a variety of convenient service options, including dine in, drive-thru, carry-out, online ordering and delivery. Construction on the restaurant is expected to be completed fall of 2026.
