ERLANGER, KY (March 19, 2026) – St. Vincent de Paul Northern Kentucky (SVdP NKY) is calling on local businesses, schools, churches, and civic groups to join this year’s Food Fight Against Hunger!
From April 6 through April 20, participating teams will compete in a friendly challenge to collect the most non-perishable food and hygiene items for SVdP NKY’s Choice food pantries. At the end of the drive, teams will deliver their donations to designated drop-off locations, where the items will be weighed. The team that collects the greatest total weight of donations will earn bragging rights as this year’s champion!
Economic hardship, unexpected job losses, and life-altering events have many people struggling to put food on the table. Last year, SVdP NKY provided more than $1.2 million in food pantry assistance to over 43,000 neighbors in need.
“More families than ever don’t know when their next meal will be,” said Becca Gerding, Programs Director for St. Vincent de Paul Northern Kentucky. “Food Fight Against Hunger allows local groups to come together as a team and have some fun while competing against other businesses, while making a meaningful difference in the lives of their customers.”
Groups interested in participating can register their team by March 30 at https://bit.ly/FoodFightReg or by emailing svdpPrograms@svdpnky.org for more information. The winning team will be announced on April 27 on social media.
