Media Alert: Kentucky’s First Operational Medical Cannabis Processor to Host Ribbon Cutting in Dayton
DAYTON, KY, Monday, January 12, 2026 – Bison Processing (Bison Infused Kentucky, LLC) is pleased to announce the official commencement of its operations as the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s first operational medical cannabis processor. To mark this historic milestone in Kentucky’s healthcare and agricultural history, a private ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at the facility on Thursday, January 15, at 3:30 p.m.
As the first facility of its kind in the state, Bison Processing will be responsible for taking Kentucky-grown cannabis and transforming it into safe, lab-tested medical products—such as tinctures, edibles, and topicals—for patients registered in the Kentucky Medical Cannabis Program.
Important Note to Public: This facility is a processing center only and is not a dispensary. No medical cannabis products are available for purchase on-site, and the facility is not open to the public. This event is invite-only for media and officials.

In his Thursday press conference, Governor Andy Beshear said “Team Kentucky approved our first processor, Bison Infused in Dayton.” The Governor went on to add that the “announcement about the first processor coming online means we now have operations in every level of medical cannabis – This should greatly speed up product coming to dispensaries around the state”
