Every November, Florence Christian Church sponsors a free Thanksgiving Dinner for the residents of the Florence community. Scouts from Troop 1(B) and Troop 1001(G) Scouts BSA provided valuable service to the community by assisting church members with serving food, helping attendees, and doing whatever was needed to ensure a successful event. The Scout’s assistance allowed the church to serve approximately 400 meals to the community in need. Troop 1 / 1001 meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Florence Christian Church. ###
