Christopher Campbell, Kentucky Party Executive Committee member, announced he will seek the office of U.S. Senator in his home state of Kentucky. Campbell, a 30+ year resident of the Commonwealth, is running on an ‘Anti-Corruption, Anti-War, Pro-Kentucky’ platform. These tenets guide his political philosophy and will shape his office’s policy.

Campbell came by his anti-war politics honestly. A former member of the Kentucky National Guard, he understands a strong military is necessary to defend our country. He is keenly aware of the waste, fraud, and abuse of the Military-Industrial Complex, and the avoidable traumas and tragedies it causes. As Senator, he will immediately get to work on diplomatic solutions to end the genocide in Gaza. He will build a bloc to cease funding that fuels the forever war machine and stop exporting weapons essential to national defense.

Campbell is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University (MPH, 2019). He spent a substantial amount of his adult life working in hospitals, health departments, and nursing homes. From this experience, he saw first-hand the value and necessity of quality medical care. In keeping with this belief, he is a strong proponent of Medicare for All and will use his position to deflate absurd healthcare prices that have been artificially driven up by health insurance companies and Big Pharma.

As a member of the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners (Local 1076), Campbell is pro-Union, and understands the value of our workforce. Campbell will faithfully represent skilled laborers who construct Kentucky’s buildings, bridges, and homes. There’s a lot of work to be done in Kentucky, and enough hands to do it. Campbell will expand good jobs for our citizens and ensure that reshored industry benefits our economy.

Something’s wrong when hard-working blue-collar Kentucky families have to choose between medicine, groceries, and paying their rent or mortgage. Something’s wrong when Washington cuts vital supports for children and disabled people to launder billions in Ukraine. Democrats blame MAGA, Republicans blame wokeness, but Campbell’s clear-eyed. Corrupt and warmongering politicians colluded with special interests to make their donors rich at our expense. Campbell says their days in Washington are numbered.

The US Senate seat Campbell will run for is occupied by Mitch McConnell, who’s retiring. The Republican primary race frontrunners are Congressman Andy Barr, Former KY Attorney General Daniel Cameron, and Lexington businessman Nate Morris. Half a dozen Democrats will compete in their primary.
