Erlanger, KY — July 21, 2025 — Viox & Viox, a locally based civil engineering, land surveying, and landscape architecture firm, hosted its first annual Civil Bites & Insights event on July 15, 2025, offering high school and college students an immersive, hands-on introduction to careers in the civil engineering world.
The event welcomed students from across the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati region to Viox & Viox’s Erlanger office for a half-day experience that included:
• Introduced students to civil engineering careers during a lunch and learn
• Hands-on topographic map activity to explore site planning and features
• Q&A with engineers, recent grads, surveyors, and landscape architects
• Surveying demo featuring drones and advanced equipment
• Guided tour of a real job site to see design concepts in action
“This event is all about opening doors and helping the next generation see what’s possible in civil engineering and design,” said Georgia Craddock, Marketing & Organizational Development Specialist at Viox & Viox. “We want students to know these careers are within reach — and really exciting!”
With growing demand for engineering professionals and a deep commitment to local workforce development, Viox & Viox created Civil Bites & Insights to inspire young talent, support local schools and colleges, and showcase the rewarding opportunities in this vital industry.
The firm is already planning to expand the event in 2026, with more student spots, new activities, and greater collaboration with area educators and programs.
“We were thrilled with the turnout and energy this year,” Craddock said. “This is just the beginning.”
