June 20, 2024 (Cincinnati, OH)—Samaritan’s Feet International is excited to announce that a new initiative – One City Cincinnati: Destination for Impact will take place in Cincinnati, OH in 2024. The goal of this special event(s) is for the community to come together to serve 4,000 children, adults, and seniors with a new pair of shoes and a message of hope. Hundreds of local volunteers will serve at this event(s) together, including diverse religious leaders, community influencers, and public service personnel to inspire empathy and unity within the city.

“Samaritan’s Feet is looking forward to working alongside local leaders in order to serve thousands of people at our Samaritan’s Feet Cincinnati events. The goal of this initiative is to work with the community to alleviate a burden for struggling families by providing a new pair of shoes and to also give dignity and inspire unity as leaders and community members from all walks of life serve their neighbors in need, together,” said Manny Ohonme, CEO, Co-Founder, and President, Samaritan’s Feet International.

There are currently three events planned for One City Cincinnati:
September 13 at Crossroads Church in Florence, KY with Safe Aging Coalition of Northern Kentucky
September 17 with Molina Healthcare of Ohio
September 28 at ARCO with Santa Maria Community Services, Inc.

The U.S. Census Bureau reports that almost 24.8% of people living in Cincinnati (approximately 76,760 individuals) are living in poverty. Samaritan’s Feet hopes that these Cincinnati event(s) serve as a starting point to meet an immediate need while also building a relationship with the city, so others in need can be served over the next several years in Cincinnati.

Samaritan’s Feet has identified several cities across the United States to be hosts of 2024 One City events. Those cities include Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; Houston, TX; Indianapolis, IN; Minneapolis, MN; Sioux Falls, SD; and Tampa, FL.

There are numerous ways to get involved in Samaritan’s Feet Cincinnati events, including sponsorship opportunities, becoming a site host, providing recipient groups, being a media partner, donating, and volunteering.
