Studio Kroner is delighted to announce its upcoming exhibition, “Intuitive Abstracts,” featuring the dynamic works of abstract expressionist Jolie Harris.
The show will be held at Studio Kroner, located at 130 W. Court Street, Cincinnati, OH. The opening reception will take place from 6-9 pm on Thursday, June 27, 2024, followed by an artist talk from 6-7 pm on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, and will conclude with a closing ceremony from 1-4 pm on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
Jolie Harris, a distinguished artist known for her ability to uncover chance patterns and visual phenomena in the natural world, brings her unique vision to Cincinnati. Trained at the California College of Design, The Art Academy of Cincinnati, and the Boca Raton Museum of Art School, Harris has exhibited her work in numerous solo and group shows across the United States and has international collectors.
“My artwork delves into the evocative power of random patterns created through intuitive expression,” says Harris. “Each painting begins with bold, spontaneous strokes. As I build layer upon layer, a distinct direction emerges, guiding me to the next brushstroke, swipe, scrape, or drip. Painting possesses its own language, originating from the depths of my soul. I draw immense inspiration from music, dance, and the ocean. I revel in vibrant and subdued palettes that create compositions both visceral and lyrical. My paintings invite viewers to be moved by the emotions they evoke.”
