The First Flea in the Fort of 2024 kicks off on Sunday, June 2 at Tower Park for its fourth season of showcasing artists and crafters from the Northern Kentucky & Cincinnati region.
Flea in the Fort is a handmade artisan craft show that was started back in 2021 as a means to give local makers a space to sell their crafts in the Northern Kentucky region. The show has over 150 makers lined up over the course of the 2024 season. The event takes place in Tower Park outside next to the Fort Thomas Mess Hall under the tree canopy.
Flea in the Fort has three shows a year on the first Sunday’s in June, August, and October. This year’s dates are June 2, August 4, and October 6 and runs from 10am to 3pm. In addition to makers there is live music, food trucks, and is pet friendly. The event is free for the public to attend. “We have an amazing volunteer committee that helps with the whole process of selecting our makers and prepping the day of to ensure that our makers are ready to go. We also have a large selection of makers, artists, and crafters who are located in the region. Our main goal is to showcase their work and give them a venue to sell it and get future business.” -Sam Shelton, coordinator for Flea.
