Newport Central Catholic High School recently announced the hiring of Ms. Emily Wagner as the new Head Coach of the school’s Girls Soccer Team.
Coach Wagner possesses both playing and coaching experience. Wagner played select soccer with Ohio Elite Soccer Academy, was a part of the Ohio Olympic Development Program for multiple years during high school, and went on to play Division 1 soccer at Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). Additionally, she has coached with the King’s Hammer Club Soccer Program.
“I am very excited for this opportunity to coach the NCCHS girls varsity soccer team. I am looking forward to being a part of “The Hill” and learning more about the program.”
Athletic Director Jeff Schulkens said, “We are happy to welcome Coach Wagner to the Newport Central Catholic family. Both her coaching and collegiate playing experience will be a great resource in helping our student-athletes improve on and off the field.”
Coach Wagner, her husband and blended family of 5 children live in Wilder, KY.
