A few NKY educators are among a group of education stakeholders and policymakers that will gather in Frankfort on June 22 and 23 to participate in a part of the accountability standard-setting process.
The meeting will allow the educators to provide recommendations for cut scores — a cut score provides thresholds between performance levels — that will define performance expectations for each indicator and overall school performance rating for Kentucky’s accountability system.
The scores will be used in each year’s school report cards that assess student and school performance statewide.
Here are the Northern Kentuckians participating in the process:
- Alvin Garrison, superintendent, Covington Independent schools
- Laura Williams, principal of Boone County schools
- Danielle Rice, director of Special Education, Kenton County schools
The meetings will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET at 300 Sower Blvd. in the State Board Room.
