Last week, The Kentucky House of Representatives named its committee assignments, and Boone County’s two new representatives received their assignments.

Rep. Steve Rawlings (R-Burlington) and Rep. Marianne Proctor (R-Union) will serve on three committees during the 2023 legislative session.

Rawlings will serve on the House Judiciary, House State Government, and House Education committees.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to work on behalf of my constituents,” Rawlings said. “I look forward to serving on these committees and appreciate the opportunity to work directly on policies that impact my constituents.”

Proctor will serve on the Local Government, Veterans, Military Affairs, and Public Protection, and Families and Children committees.

“I am eager to begin working for the people of our district and make Kentucky a state where people wish to live, grow businesses, and raise families,” Proctor said.
