Gov. Andy Beshear’s announced that his reelection campaign raised over $1 million in campaign funds in the first quarter of 2022. This brings his total to $2.4 million in six months since he announced his reelection campaign.

“Our team is working to preserve and expand on the progress we’ve made for Kentuckians over the last two years,” Beshear said in a release. “In Kentucky, we want our kids and grandkids to have more opportunity than we’ve ever seen before, and we’re seeing that kind of momentum right now. I look forward to continuing to lead Kentucky through this historic era to improve lives for all Kentucky families for generations to come.”

According to a campaign announcement in January, it raised $1.3 million in its first three months. They currently have $2.2 million cash on hand.

“Gov. Beshear leads with Kentuckians first,” said Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman. “He has fought for public education, health care, good-paying jobs—the things that help our Kentucky families every day. We’re seeing growth and momentum in every corner of our commonwealth, and we’re just getting started.”
