Crowds gathered on Mall Road in Florence Saturday as part of the “Hands Off!” protests, a nationwide public demonstration against President Donald Trump and his administration.

The Florence protest, organized by the Northern Kentucky grassroots political organization, Indivisible NKY, was originally set for April 5 but was postponed due to the historic flooding in the region.

The protest, per Indivisible NKY, was described as a way to “let our members of Congress know to keep their #HandsOff Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, Personal data, the Dept of Education, US Citizens, immigrants, etc in an unprecedented, unconstitutional power grab!”

More than 150 groups, including civil rights organizations, labor unions, LBGTQ+ advocates, veterans, and election activists, held the national protest on April 5 in more than 1,200 locations in all 50 states, per reports from the Associated Press.
