Former Northern Kentucky attorney Eric Deters said former President Donald Trump would attend his annual political event in Northern Kentucky in September.

Deters announced via Twitter early Tuesday and told LINK nky that Trump is scheduled to attend Freedom Fest, held on Deters’ farm in Morning View.

“Subject to some big change, he will be there,” Deters told LINK nky.

This year will be the third iteration of Freedom Fest, with the likes of Trump and his sons — Donald Jr. and Eric, who both attended last year — scheduled to attend. Deters confirmed that Dog the Bounty Hunter will also participate this year.

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, who beat Deters to the Republican nominee for governor in May, is also scheduled to attend.

In 2021, Deters said there were 8,000 attendees; in 2022, he said there were more than 15,000 attendees, based on cars counted.

It was the largest political rally in NKY for at least the last 50 years, Deters said of the event in 2022.

Deters also said he would fully confirm at this year’s event whether or not he would run against Rep. Thomas Massie in the Republican primary for the 4th Congressional District in 2024.

He recently said he’s “99%” sure he would run against Massie.
