As Congress debates tax policy, it is important to remember the families behind the numbers. The Child Tax Credit is one of the most effective tools for reducing child poverty and helping working families manage the costs of raising children.

The credit helps parents afford essentials like groceries, child care, housing, and school supplies. Greater financial stability helps children thrive and strengthens communities.

As someone who advocates for children and families, I have seen how policies like the Child Tax Credit make a meaningful difference. Every child deserves the opportunity to grow up with their basic needs met.

At a time when many families face financial pressures, strengthening the Child Tax Credit should remain a priority. Supporting parents is one of the best ways to support children.

On a personal note, this issue has become even more meaningful to me recently. I am expecting my first child in January 2027, and I look forward to experiencing firsthand how important investments in children can be.
