The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 6 Office announced that a section of Kentucky Route 8 will be closed to through traffic this week so that maintenance crews can repair a slide.
The closure will begin at Amsterdam Road (KY 371) and continue 1.5 miles east. The daily closure starts Monday and will continue until Friday, July 15, or possibly Saturday, July 16, if needed.
The closure will from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. Local traffic will have access to the road during this time.
All non-local traffic should seek an alternate route during the closure. Work is weather dependent.
