The Cincinnati Hoxworth Blood Center, which has multiple locations throughout the Greater Cincinnati area, including Fort Mitchell, will offer special rewards for blood donors in July. According to a recent press release from the center, demand for blood transfusions is especially high during the summer.
“The need for blood doesn’t take a vacation,” said Dr. David Oh, Hoxworth’s chief medical officer, in the release. “We often see traumas and other accidents during the summer months, which means we need to be prepared and maintain a healthy blood supply. We need our Tri-State community to come out and donate to make sure local patients have the blood they need.”
Rewards for July donors are as follows:
- July 1-5: All donors who donate at any Hoxworth donor center receive a voucher for two free tickets to a Cincinnati Reds game.
- July 6-31: All donors who donate at any Hoxworth donor center receive a $10 eGift card.
- July 10-16: Blood donors can earn 150 points toward Cincinnati Burger Week by donating blood during the week.
The center’s Fort Mitchell and Blue Ash locations will also be open for donations on Independence Day.
