The votes are in, and this week’s LINK nky Educator of the Week is Sarah Shamblin, a teacher at Dixie Heights High School.
Shamblin was nominated by Sawyer Toon for “being the amazing band director she is. Not only does she direct the Dixie Heights High School Marching Band, but she also uses her time to direct our Concert Band, Jazz Band, and other music-related activities at Dixie Heights.
She works tirelessly every day to make sure that our bands can perform, so we can share our love for music and enjoy doing so. Even when it seems like we can’t go any further and we’ve hit a roadblock, she always finds a way to help us.”
