At LINK nky, we believe that educators – whether they are teachers or principals, tutors or superintendents – are at the heart of our community’s success. The Educator of the Week contest is our way of recognizing and celebrating the incredible educators who go above and beyond for Northern Kentucky students every day.
Each week, we will choose three nominees who have made an impact on their community and who represent a diverse mix of roles, grade levels, subject areas, school types, and geographic locations.

The Educators

Educator: Lindsey Bray
Role: Teacher at Campbell County Middle School
Nominator: Shelbi Hitch
Why Hitch nominated Bray:
I would like to nominate this math teacher for Educator of the Week for the remarkable growth her students have shown in their mathematical skills throughout this school year. Through purposeful planning, data-driven instruction, and high expectations, she ensures that all students are both supported and challenged to reach their full potential. She holds every learner accountable while creating a classroom environment where students feel encouraged, confident, and motivated to improve.
In addition to her work during the school day, she consistently provides after-school support, giving students extra time and guidance to strengthen their understanding. She values strong partnerships with families and maintains open, consistent communication to keep them informed and engaged in their child’s progress. Beyond academics, she is a phenomenal educator with a gigantic heart for others, always willing to serve, support colleagues, and give back to her community. Her passion for teaching and commitment to students truly make a lasting impact.

Educator: Jessica Humbert
Role: Teacher at Turkey Foot Middle School
Nominator: Nash Sparks
Why Sparks nominated Humbert:
I am nominating her because she is really kind and helpful, she always helps me and everyone else in our class without getting upset with us when we struggle. She really helps everyone in the school because she stays calm with all the kids. She also helps out the other teachers when they need it, if they need their students to be monitored for a second she will be the first to step up and help.

Educator: Leigh Ann Divine
Role: Teacher at Covington Latin School
Nominator: Samantha Darpel
Why Darpel nominated Divine:
Leigh Ann is the behind-the-scenes queen. There are few people that know more about the ins and outs of our institution quite like she does. She is the first to come up with a solution to any problem. Though she is not in the building every day, her enthusiasm and love of CLS abounds in every day of the week. She supports our school community in ways that most people will never see. Shes a pillar of our school community and an example to all of us of stewardship, community, and compassion.
