The National Civics Bee, an academic competition put on by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, opened its submission portal this week.
“Participating 6th, 7th and 8th graders will flex their civics knowledge for a chance to win recognition and cash prizes,” reads the NKY Chamber’s website. “Finalists will be invited to Washington, DC to compete in the inaugural National Civics Bee national championship in Fall 2024.”
Kentucky students interested in competing should submit their essays by Jan. 8, 2024. To learn more about the competition, including rules and submission instructions, visit the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s website.
