Three Northern Kentucky students finished fifth place for a national technology award at the 2023 Technology Student Association National Conference.
Erikah Brown, Rose Freer, and Karter Holbrook of Ignite Institute in Boone County finished 5th place for the Animatronics Award at the annual conference.
The national student organization caters to students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — it’s also the only career and student organization geared towards students in engineering, aviation, media arts, and computer science pathways in the commonwealth.
Another student from NKY, Ariel Fader, was elected by her peers to the organization’s National Officer Team. Fader will serve as national treasurer for the 2023-2024 school year.
