Three Northern Kentucky teachers received a 2024 Kentucky Teacher Achievement Award from the Kentucky Department of Education.
The awards allow the teachers to qualify to compete for the 2024 Kentucky Teacher of the Year Award.
The three Northern Kentucky teachers are:
- Deanna Landrum, Southgate Public School (Southgate Independent)
- Kevin Dailey, Ballyshannon Middle (Boone County)
- Maegan Tepe, Ballyshannon Middle (Boone County)
The state Department of Education announced the selection of the 22 teachers for the awards on July 5.
“The Kentucky Teacher of the Year Awards honor exceptional educators who go above and beyond to support Kentucky’s future leaders,” said Education Commissioner Jason Glass. “Our teachers are among the best in the nation, and we at KDE are proud to recognize and celebrate their tireless efforts in their classrooms and communities.”
