Newport Central Catholic students are asking for the public’s help in collecting 1,500 2-liter bottles to help construct an upcycled greenhouse.
The school’s environmental science class was recently awarded a grant to build the greenhouse, but they still need the 2-liter bottles to complete the project.
NewCath trades and vocation students, along with students in the environmental science class, will build the greenhouse, which will be used for projects, lessons and experiments.
Anyone with extra 2-liter bottles are asked to drop them off at the entrance to the school at 13 Carothers Road in Newport.
