The Boone County Sherriff’s Office is looking for one remaining suspect in an armed robbery in Hebron over the weekend. Detectives took the other suspect into custody Monday.

On Sunday, Jan. 14, at approximately 6:19 p.m., Boone County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a robbery in progress at 1960 North Bend Road in Hebron.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that a failed robbery attempt had occurred just prior to the reported robbery as two male suspects ambushed a female victim in the parking lot just outside of Pizza Hut. One suspect brandished a handgun as they both demanded her car keys, according to police. The victim stated the keys were in the vehicle; however, it appeared that they could not locate them and fled on foot. The victim did not sustain any injuries.

Minutes later, the same two suspects ambushed another female victim in the parking lot just outside of the Hebron Grille, police said. There, one suspect held a handgun to the victim’s chest as they both demanded her keys, police said. The victim complied with their demands and the suspects fled the scene in her vehicle. The victim was not injured.

The suspect who brandished the handgun is described as a thin Black male, average height, wearing tan boots, black pants, an off-white hooded sweatshirt with a maroon hat with white lettering as well as white gloves and a blue mask. He is still at large, according to police.

Detectives have taken one male juvenile offender into custody. He was the second suspect in the investigation. The 17-year-old juvenile from Forest Park, Ohio, was identified by his parents. Upon speaking with detectives, his parents agreed to safely turn him in to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

The stolen vehicle was located near the juvenile offender’s home in Forest Park. The Forest Park Police Department assisted detectives with subsequent follow-up investigations at the juvenile offender’s home as well as impounding the vehicle to their secured lot.

The juvenile offender is charged with one count of attempted robbery first-degree, one count of robbery first-degree, one count of wanton endangerment first-degree, and possession of a handgun by a minor. He was lodged at the Campbell Regional Juvenile Detention Center.

The other suspect, who is seen in photographs wearing a blue mask, remains at large. He is still considered armed and dangerous, according to police. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Boone County Sheriff’s Office at 859-371-1234 or submit a tip through Crime Stoppers at 513-352- 3040.
