Robert Hartman, a 32-year-old Covington resident, has been charged with murder following a shooting that occurred in the 4000 block of Church Street in Latonia Tuesday, according to a recent press release from Covington Police.

Police arrived at the scene at around 3:30 p.m. after an initial call for what police described as “unknown trouble.” Shots were fired as police were responding to the call, officers said.

Police said they discovered the body of Patrick Sand, a 51-year-old Covington resident, as well as an injured woman, whose identity has not been released. Sand was declared dead at the scene, and the woman was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment.

Hartman was arrested, charged with murder and transported to Kenton County Detention Center following an investigation.
