A Walton man was arrested for trying to get nude photos from a teenager and asking her to meet for sexual acts, according to a report from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
Bradley D. Smith, 38, was arrested and charged with one count of unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual activities and one count of failure to comply with sex offender registration. Smith is currently lodged at the Boone County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.Â
The arrest is a response to a report made to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office on April 22. The report alleged that an adult male was engaging in sexual conversations with a teenage girl, asking her to send nude photographs and meet with him to engage in sexual activity, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon receiving the report, detectives learned that Smith is a registered sex offender and was not currently residing at his registered home in Elsmere. Detectives confirmed that Smith was living at an unregistered address in Walton.
