Ballyshannon Middle School Unified Arts – Technology teacher Leslie Dillon has been selected for the 2023-24 Kentucky Department of Education Innovation Teachers Fellowship program.
Dillon is one of ten teachers selected from a pool of statewide applicants who are a part of the KY Innovative Learning Network member districts, officials said, adding the network is a partnership between local school districts and the education department to provide a shared professional learning space for education leaders.
Fellowship program participants will craft innovative experiences connecting the three big ideas of the state education department’s United We Learn vision – creating vibrant learning experiences, accelerating innovation and building a bold new future with communities.
In conjunction with the fellowship program, Dillon will have access to professional learning and teacher leadership opportunities, as well as project development ideas – with the end goal of impacting student learning experiences, officials said.
