The Boone County Fiscal Court has approved the hiring of Stephen Becker as part-time safety coordinator within the Human Resources Department.
“We received around 21 applications, which is fairly good for a part time position,” Boone County Human Resources Director Lori Zombek said. “And we interviewed five candidates. Mr. Becker has 30 years of experience and worked for national and international companies.”
In his role Becker will have duties that include assisting in implementing and reviewing safety policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state and local regulations to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements; assisting in developing and implementing new safety improvement processes; and assisting in job site visits and conducting safety audits on personnel, equipment and materials, according to the listed job responsibilities.
The Fiscal Court approved the hiring with a 4-0 vote.Â
