The City of Florence will celebrate Independence Day on Monday, July 3 at the Florence Government Center, located at 8100 Ewing Blvd. According to the city, the event will begin at 7 p.m., with families and residents invited to help commemorate the nation’s independence.
Officials noted the celebration will feature a variety of food trucks, a kid’s activity area and live music. The Florence Community Band will play at 7 p.m. and live music will be supplied by DJ Nick at 8 p.m., with officials indicating the highlight of the event will be a fireworks display via Elite Pyrotechnics at 10 p.m.

In the event of rain, the rain date for fireworks only will be held on Tuesday, July 4 at 10 p.m., officials noted.
