The Family Nurturing Center is raising awareness about National Child Abuse Prevention Month this April by holding special events aimed at spreading awareness.

Child abuse and neglect affects one in seven people nationwide, according to a release from the center. For over 40 years, the center said they have provided child abuse education and training, counseling, parenting, visitation and holistic and wellness services.

Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month events and activities include:

all members wearing blue should be shared on social media using the tags #WearBlue4KYKids, #OhioWearsBlue and #stopchildabuse.
