The Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky African American Chamber of Commerce paid homage to the spirit of the Harlem Renaissance during their Cincy Nights Gala on Saturday at the Music Hall Ballroom in Cincinnati. 

Featuring a live jazz band, dance performances, and art from members of the community, this year’s award winners were celebrated for their efforts throughout greater Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati.

The winners and honorees were:

The “Hall of Fame” honorees are Alma Cochran, AJL Group; Monroe Barnes of MBJ Consultants; Laura Carr of LA Carr Communications; Emmett Drane of Diversified Facility Solutions; David & Guinette Kirk of DNK Architects; and Troy Parker of Innovative Labor & Cleaning Services.

The “Emerging Leader” winners are Simone Charles of BASH and Dr. Rachel Angel. 

The “Peerro Chairman’s Award” honorees are Al Hutchinson, the president and CEO of Destinations International, and Andy Ingraham, the president/CEO/Founder of National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators & Developers. 

The “AACC Volunteer Award” winner is Sam Ross of Ionic Communications

The Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky African American Chamber of Commerce provides over 120 programs, events, and workshops to small businesses and entrepreneurs to assist in launching and growing their businesses.
