The Boone County Animal Shelter is collecting brand new children’s toys for kids in need of some extra gifts this holiday season.
Between Dec. 1 and Dec. 15, visitors to the shelter can donate new unwrapped toys, and if they wish to bring home a new furry companion, the shelter will waive the adoption fee on available animals in exchange for the donation.
All adopters must be approved via the standard application review process.
