The winner of the 500X scratch-off ticket purchased at the Crittenden Fastlane convenience store in Crittenden took her earnings from a previous scratch-off win and purchased another with a higher potential prize value.

Upon scratching off the portions of the ticket, she realized she had another winner in her hands but wasn’t initially sure of the amount.

“Is that $1,000? No wait, that’s $1 million,” the winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said in a written statement released by the Kentucky Lottery.

The Grant county winner headed to lottery headquarters with her $1,000,000 winning ticket the next day, bringing home home a check to the tune of $710,000, her portion after taxes. She plans to pay off debt and purchase land.

“I was in shock, I couldn’t sleep,” she said of her luck. The Crittenden Fastlane will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
