Tom Tilmes was awarded the NKY Community Award Tuesday morning at the NKY Chamber’s Eggs ‘N Issues.
Tilmes is the vice president of Business Banking for Republic Bank’s Covington location and is retiring this year after more than 30 years.
Tilmes has held a wide array of positions within the NKY area, including the Advisory Committee to the Economic and Finance Department at Northern Kentucky University. He was also a founding board member of the Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky.
He recently completed his tenure as chair of the Eggs ‘N Issues committee after serving on the committee for more than five years.
He also currently serves as board chair for the Covington Business Council and as vice chair on the St. Elizabeth Foundation’s Business Support Committee.
Tilmes credits his volunteer work for helping him truly understand the needs of the community, which has allowed him to better serve his clients and the market.
