A partnership of local organizations will host a Covington Community Conversation later this fall.
The event is a follow-up to similar events hosted earlier this year and will focus on selecting and developing a specific project in the city that will “improve people’s lives,” according to a press release from the organizers.
“We are inviting the people of Covington to work together to develop a project in the landscape that not only shows what we can do when we work together toward a shared goal but will benefit the community in a real sense,” said JT Spence, who serves as the chair of the Community Conversations programming for the Covington Neighborhood Collaborative. The Center for Great Neighborhoods and Kentuckians for the Commonwealth are also organizing the event.
Previous Community Conversations suggested people were interested especially in transportation, walkability and pedestrian safety and city beautification.
The Community Conversation will take place at the Life Learning Center on 18th Street on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is no charge to attend, but you must register in advance using the organizers’ online ticketing form found here.
