Covington residents can drop off downed tree debris that they can carry themselves at four different locations throughout the city, according to an announcement from Mayor Ron Washington on Wednesday.
The four locations are listed below. They will be open for debris drop off for a week:
- Austinburg Park
- The lower soccer field parking lot at the Bill Cappel Sports Complex in Latonia
- The parking lot of Hands Pike Park off of Tripoli Lane
- The Public Works barn on Montague Road, just west of Behringer-Crawford Museum
The mayor called upon people to help their neighbors.
“I realize that everyone doesn’t have a pickup truck or a trailer,” Washington said. “So, we ask that this is the time to help your neighbor out. The city will remove debris from the sidewalk, from the curb for the public, but it may take up to a week to have the city’s public works crews do that.”
To get added to the city’s list of people who need help removing debris from their sidewalks, call (859)292-2292. Residents can also make a request online here. Residents should place tree debris between the sidewalk and the road between Aug. 12 and Aug. 19 for pickup.
