The Campbell County Waste Tire Collection Event is back this week. The free collection event is only held in the area every three years.
The event is Aug. 6-8 at the Campbell County Road Department at 1175 Racetrack Road in Alexandria and is open to all Kentucky residents.
Tire collection hours:
- Thursday, Aug. 6: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Friday, Aug. 7: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Saturday, Aug. 8: 8 a.m. to noon
Accepted tires include passenger, truck/light truck, farm implement, ATV, tractor, lawn, bicycle, motorcycle and golf cart tires. Rims are accepted.
Commercial haulers, contractors, businesses, scrap yards, recycling centers and tire retailers cannot participate. Some types of tires cannot be accepted, so check the graphic before loading up.
