Gov. Andy Beshear appointed several Northern Kentuckians to prominent regional and statewide boards on July 31.
Northern Kentucky University Board of Regents
Beshear appointed Michelle Snodgrass-Deimling of Cold Spring to the Northern Kentucky University Board of Regents. Snodgrass-Deimling, a private practice attorney and former commonwealth’s attorney for Kentucky’s 17th Judicial Circuit, will replace Gregory Mecher. She will serve the remainder of the unexpired term until Sept. 10, 2031.
Furthermore, Victoria Grooms of Newport was reappointed to the NKU Board of Regents for a term expiring June 30, 2032. Grooms is the director of admissions at Per Scholas, a nonprofit with a Covington office that provides tuition-free IT career training and job placement services.
Kentucky Board of Education
Beshear reappointed Randolph Poe of Union and Julia Pile of Florence to the Kentucky Board of Education. Poe serves as executive director of the Northern Kentucky Education Council, while Pile is president of Parent Camp Inc. Both will serve terms expiring April 14, 2030.
Campbell County Property Valuation Administrator
Beshear appointed Fred Macke III the Campbell County property valuation administrator. Macke, a certified residential appraiser with Bluegrass Real Property Services LLC, will replace Daniel Braun.
Braun, the previous Campbell County PVA, was indicted in June on two counts of “Procuring or Promoting the Use of a Minor by Electronic Means.” Braun was arrested by the Kentucky Office of the Attorney General in April.
