Ridgewood Drive in Alexandria will be closed for approximately one week for a culvert pipe repair project.

Sanitation District 1 will begin repairs to a 48-inch culvert pipe on Ridgewood Drive in Alexandria beginning Monday, July 27. The work will take place near the intersection of Ridgewood Drive and Tulipwood Court and will require a full road closure for approximately one week from July 27 to Aug. 3. 

Reopening is expected Monday, Aug. 4, weather permitting.

During construction, an approximately 24-foot section of roadway will be removed. Traffic will not be able to drive through, around or past the work zone.

Detour Information:

Residents living on Ridgewood west of Tulipwood Court will only be able to exit the subdivision via Brookwood Drive to US 10.

Residents living on Ridgewood east of #168 will only be able to exit via the AA Highway or access US 10 via Grandview Road.

The sanitation district is expected to install advanced warning signs within the next 48 hours to notify residents of the upcoming project.
