Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Covington’s annual Cassba fundraising event will return in August.

This year’s theme will be “Stars & Service: Honoring America at 250 and Catholic Charities at 95 Years of Love and Action.” It will celebrate both the 250th anniversary of the United States and 95 years of service from the organization.

The event serves as one of the organization’s flagship fundraising events. The money raised will go to support the organization’s service efforts, which you can learn about here.

“This special afternoon will bring the community together in support of the vital ministries of Catholic Charities and the people we serve,” reads a press release from the organization earlier this year. “Attendees can look forward to great music, delicious food, silent and live auctions, raffles and more, all set against the scenic backdrop of Devou Park.”

The fundraiser will include raffles for prizes and cash, listed below:

  • Trip Raffle: A single winner will win a trip to the Grand Luxxe hotel at the Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta resort in the Bay of Banderas in Mexico. 500 tickets will be sold at $25 each, and the winner will be drawn at 6 p.m. at the Cassba event. You do not need to attend the event to win.
  • First place cash raffle: $10,000
  • Second place cash raffle: $2,500
  • Third place cash raffle: $1,000
    • Cash raffle tickets will be sold at $20 each to anyone aged 18 and older. You do not need to attend the Cassba event to win.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 23, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Drees Pavilion in Devou Park. Learn more and buy raffle tickets and event admission tickets at the event’s website here.
