The Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky, or TANK, will make several changes to its Licking River Link route starting Saturday, July 11.

The route was instituted following the demolition of the 4th Street Bridge (officially called the KY-8 Bridge) and is offered to riders for free.

The route’s existing stops in Covington will not change, however, several changes will take place in Newport. A complete loop of the route takes about 30 minutes. It operates on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

A list of the stops that will be in place beginning July 11 are listed below.

In Newport:

  • 11th Street at York Street 
  • Monmouth Street at 9th Street 
  • Monmouth Street at 7th Street 
  • 4th Street at Columbia Street 
  • Isabella at 6th Street 
  • Isabella at 9th Street

Stops previously in place on Central and 8th Street, and Central at 10th Street will no longer be in service beginning Saturday.

In Covington:

  • Greenup Street at 9th Street
  • Greenup Street at 5th Street
  • Scott Street at 6th Street
  • Scott Street at 11th Street

The Licking River Link will be in place until the new bridge traversing the river is complete. Construction is scheduled to finish in 2028. Stay up to date with the project at ky8bridge.org.
