Kenton County Public Works has nine roads tabbed for resurfacing projects through the rest of 2026.

The resurfacing projects are intended to improve driving conditions and extend the lifespan of county-maintained roads. Mago Construction, based in Bardstown, was recently authorized by the Kenton County Fiscal Court to complete the resurfacing work.

Roadways scheduled for resurfacing include:

  • Alexander Road (West)
  • Alexander Road (East)
  • George W. Bach Road
  • James Drive
  • Madison Pike
  • Riggs Road
  • St. Mary Road
  • Trace Run Road
  • Visalia Road

“Maintaining safe and reliable roadways is one of the most important services we provide to residents,” Kenton County Judge/Executive Kris Knochelmann said in a news release. “These resurfacing projects represent a continued investment in our infrastructure and help ensure our transportation network remains safe and efficient for everyone who travels throughout Kenton County.”

Construction schedules will be coordinated to minimize disruptions, although drivers should still expect temporary traffic impacts, such as lane closures and minor delays in active work zones.

In addition, all paving work is weather-dependent as schedules may be adjusted because of rain or other unforeseen circumstances.
