To prepare for the 50th anniversary of the Beverly Hills Supper Club fire, the Southgate Fire Department has commissioned a limited-edition challenge coin to serve as its department’s newest fundraiser and a reminder of the 165 lives lost that night.
The department said on Facebook that it also hopes the coin will highlight the efforts of the hundreds of firefighters who worked tirelessly through the night to save thousands of lives.
Coins are currently $10 each when picked up from the firehouse at 128 Electric Ave., and $15 each if shipped to an address of your choosing. The Southgate Fire Department can be reached at (859) 441-1422.
