Covington street sweeping season will begin this week on Wednesday, July 8 and will last until Monday, Aug. 31.
Drivers will need to move their cars off the affected street to make room for sweeping trucks. Commercial areas have permanent signs displaying when sweeping will take place. Residential areas, on the other hand, will have temporary signs posted the business day before sweeping is scheduled to take place. Each street is swept over a two-day period, one day for each side.
